Not very many people know, and she pretend everything is okay. How can I help her see that God really loves her, and life is worth living?

She already has been hospitalized a couple times, and her parents do know.

I would have her see a counselor. Also check you local phone book for a crisis/suicide line. Also have either her or your pastor talk to her. Professional and spiritual help will help her get through this.

Be there for all her needs. Ask her what's does she wrong with her life. Complement her and tell her that she is loved. Many of us don't know what it really means to be loved. Sometimes we just need someone to hear us out and let us speak our mind. When we are in the state of suicide we want nothing to change our world or mind. We want things the way they are, but what we really don't realize is how this is a little hill or mtn. to get over. We really don't care about the future, we only care about what goes on at that moment. We want all the pain and life to stop hurting, we just want to be thought of as someone important just like everyone else so we create this attraction or attention to us, not meaning to but we do. It's sad b/c that's all we really care about! Prey for her and things will change. I thought life was evil and that nothing cared for me, so pain turned into scares and life repeated its hate and when people pray (really prayed) I changed b/c of god. I will never forget that!

Keep praying for her and let her know that she is precious and have a wonderful life ahead of her if she keep believing in herself and know that someone in this world is doing much much worse than she is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Examples:
homeless people
children getting abused everyday
women and sometimes men getting abused everyday
someone dying of a horrible disease (cancer, aids, liver disease, etc.)

I could go on but talk to your friend and let her know that YOU love her and wouldn't know what to do without her if she left this earth!
**** if you want to let her know that I love her and don't want her to leave this earth because I've been through some stuff too but thank GOD I'm still here! Why? I just graduated from college (I'm 30 years of age) and I'm finally stable and taking care of my children like I wanted! So see, everything will be alright!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the thing about suicide-If she wants to do it, she will. If she wants to talk about it, threaten it and get attention, this means that something's going on at home (most likely) that's causing this upset. The best thing you can do is make efforts to cheer her up. Buy her flowers, take her to movies or whereever she likes to go and just remind her that you love her and you want her to be happy. Just having you in her life could make all the difference. BUT, don't blame yourself if it doesn't work. Also, advise her to talk to a pastor or someone serving the church that you both trust.

You should find out what she is afraid of, Let her know that she is not the only one who feel,s this way, And whatever is bothering her, She should not spend to much time thinking about it, Help to get her mind on something else, Try to get her to have some fun out of life Keep a close watch on her, Let her know how much she means to you, And if that doesn't, help, Get her some professional, help. You have everything to gain, And nothing to lose, By Trying.

Don't press the god stuff -Your friend isn't that impressed with the creation right now so leave that alone.

Your best bet is to talk to her and leave the bible at home.

Ask her questions - take her out to a movie - be friends with her without trying to convert her .

I went through a similiar situation with a friend of mine a year ago and it really is difficult to deal with. Let her know that you are there for her, talk to her regularly and show her how much she means to people. She'll hate you for it, but if you suspect she really will go through with it, you HAVE to tell her parents. She'll forgive you in the long run.

Don't push religion on her right now, she feels that everyone has let her down including God. Just be there as a friend, support is what she needs........ Pray for her in your own time that will also help.

The only thing I can say is to pray for her. That will be the best shot. Talk to her a lot. Make her feel special and loved. Make her feel like someone special
