In the movie Walk the Line what kind of pills were Johnny Cash addicted to?

There were a few times it showed a prescription bottle and black capsules. Just wondering what those were supposed to represent.

Johnny Cash was addicted to amphetamines and barbiturates. I don't know specifically which ones. I dunno if it's been out in the open. Along with the pills, he also drank heavily.
