i would like to see a magazine that does not conform to stereoptypes, .e.g mags for lads v. mags for women....there is a definate niche in the market for a good quality magazine that a) just isn't totally about vehicles or b) totally about fashion!

I WOULDN'T want more cooking / knitting / diet features, and also NO SKINNY MODELS PLEASE! Something interesting with lots of true life stories / surveys / investigations.. things the average person on the street can relate to. It really annoys me when I buy a glossy magazine which turns out to be at least half ads - I don't want to look at ads I want interesting reading material! It would be quite interesting to have features on gadgets (mobiles, laptops, ipods etc) for women... maybe a page covering things like downloading music, interesting websites, how to get the best use of your pc etc... also maybe a section on careers where you would focus on a different job / industry each issue, interviewing people about why they do this sort of work and what it involves...a section on psychology - things like how to improve your self confidence / relationships etc... a guide to major events / tourist attractions up and down the country might be interesting too... hope this helps!

Easier to say what I would not want.
1: Skinny models as that is not reality size 14 is.
2: Clothes that are not way out of a normal persons budget
3: Make up that is not out of the normal womans budget.
4: Shoes/boots that are not way out of a normal womans budget
5: No stupid stories my wife ate the goldfish
6: Holidays that the normal person cant afford or ever go on.
7: Any celebrity trash pictures of them sweating/peeling or spotty.
8:Agony aunt that is a celebrity what do they know?
9:Recipies that are stupid, feed a bird not a big strapping husband and to expensive and fancy to make. We dont all own a friggin wok!
10: Something that insults our intelligence.
Now if they do a magazine without the above I will buy it. Good luck you are goint to need it the market is flooded with rubbish.

I can tell you why I don't read magazines at all. They try to tell me how to look, that I need this or that product to look younger, that I ought to wear this or that fashion. I can't stand the advice on relationships which is usually more damaging than helpful. I am not interested in a career, so don't want to be told how to 'have it all'. I particularly don't want to know which celebrity is going out with whom, what they are wearing, their failings, favourite TV show, music or food, or anything else about them. In short, magazines are shallow and don't tell you anything that encourages you to respect the people around you, they bring me down and make me feel there is no hope. I read the Bible instead!

A cross between New Scientist and Womans Own. A bubblegum mag for intelligent women - pondering the lighter side of quantum physics and more about the people inside the white coats. My wife would dearly like this, men don't read magazines of course. The human side of science, not too heavy on the theory. Oh, yes, and lots of ****.

I think the market is so full at the moment there is no need for a new magazine. Unless you had the millions to bankroll it it wouldn't last.

Whatever the topic - make it informative and not just gloss over the issues like so many do today - some of us still have an attention span longer than 30 seconds!

Oh yes - and put in some pictures of men's bottoms I like that!

I don't want a guitar mag filled with emo and metal crap, like Total Guitar. Perhaps a music mag that is not as pompus as NME but concentrates on prioper underground acts

There's nothing that aint already covered. Complete waste of time, a new magazine.

I'm sick to death of so-called celeberaty gossip and features. Nobody Cares. The real life stories are far fetched too.
