Tylenol is not good for baby.
Are you getting einough water? Drink 4 ounces each waking hour of water to make sure you remain hydrated at all times.
Are you stress-free? Avoid overscheduling yourself and rushing around to get things done. Plan your days for about 25% of the activity level you used to keep before becoming pregnant.
Are you tense and anxious? Learn to knit and play classical music as you make a blanket, hat or sweater for your baby for an hour or more each day. Take nice warm baths with bath salts, be happy and serene on purpose.
If you do all the above for two weeks and STILL get raging headaches, see your doctor.
Good luck!

I went through the exact same thing and I was popping tylenol like crazy. It is safe, don't worry... I spoke too my doctor about it and he told me that it is safe but not to take any other medication.
I hope you feel better, you will because I was sick throughout my whole first trimester and I also had the migrane headaches but I took tylenol and I felt alot better. I am now 36 weeks and I am feeling better. The headaches went away in the middle of my second trimester, yours will go away too. Good Luck to you.. Congratulations by the way...

Always run it past your doctor! Tylenol is considered to be safe when pregnant but the rule of thumb is to not take anything you don't have to.
I had my first migraines when I was pregnant with my first child. I didn't know they were migraines. What helped a lot was an ice pack (I like a bag of frozen peas best) behind my head (in the crook of my neck and the base of my skull). Most of the time, that kicked the headache without meds.
If you're getting a lot of headaches, it could be hormones, but it could also be that you aren't drinking enough water. A lot of headaches are dehydration, so make sure you're getting at least 8 cups (64 ozs, 2 qts) a day of water.
Good luck.

The headaches I got during my pregnancy were terrible! I took Tylenol, but it often didn't help much. Though Tylenol is safe, if you have to take it 3 out of 7 days a week, talk to your doctor about it. It could be a symptom of pre-eclampsia.

Don't worry about taking Tylenol at all. It's perfectly safe, even if it's extra strength. Just don't take ibuprofen. That will cause birth defects and heart problems in a developing baby. As long as you don't exceed the recommeded dosage, your baby will be fine. I promise you. 30-31 weeks with baby #2

Tylenol is fine but you may want to check with your doctor because sometimes a headache can be caused by a lack of Vitamin B and Protein. Also, you may need to drink more water. If you like steak, try eating a big juicy steak when you have a headache...if that works, then it may be the Protein and Vitamin B thing since steak has a lot of that in it.
Good Luck!! :)

Tylenol is fine and your headaches at this stage are normal..but do not take aspirin or ibuprophen, etc.... Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Tylenol is the one safe thing you can take, I don't know about the Tylenol extra stregth but regular is perfectly fine as long as you don't take it all 7 days out of the weeks every week.

Tylenol is fine, but aspirin, Excedrin and ibuprofen are all something you want to avoid, you would be surprised at what medication you can actually take while pregnant and not have a bad effect on your child, when my wife was pregnant with our last daughter, she was having serious pains, and her ob, and the hospital had her on morphine, and percocet, and also dilottid, although with dilotted, the baby can be born with mild withdrawl that can be taken care with a shot

Tylenol is safe, but ask you doctor just in case. 3 days out of 7 doesn't sound like you're pushing the envelope.
