It would seem to me that they wouldn't mention this about Bill Clinton since their party always pushes free trade. Maybe they know it's an unpopular position and they just want to distance themselves from it. Republicans sure talk out of both sides of their mouth don't they? Don't vote for him he's too much like us!!! lol

Although it was Clinton who signed in NAFTA it wasn't his idea.
It was originally proposed by George H W Bush

NAFTA was a Republican lead bill which was supposed to be signed into law by Bush Sr. (he was voted out of office and didn't have time to sign the actual bill into law). The fact the Clinton signed it shows his bi-partisanship. This is something that GW Bush has never had.
