Hi N°1 - I don't know about ran-sacking, but a good clean out before the festive season would be healthy !
Many cultures relate important things in towns or villages to parts of the body, and temples also.
Kings, Queens, and Goddesses bodies were believed to mirror the country, or world - so whatever happened to one would happen to the other.
If a king became weak, they would be "sacrificed" to make way for a new virile king.
