Well, it depends...
if you drink diet coke you won't be gaining weight because there is no calories in it...
if you drink regular coke.... you bet... you will gain weight because of the calories from the sugar

a 42 oz. coke from McDonald contains about 150g of sugars
A can of coke contains about 37-40 grams of sugar...

Why weight gain? Because the excess sugar and carb that's in your body... will be transform to fat for storage for extra energy...

Hope that helps!!!

OMG! Who told you that lol, Honey water is the best way to go cola has too much sugar and caffine and is not good for you period drink it in moderation. Water flushes out the body removes toxins and other things and helps your kidneys work correctly so keep with what you used to do have a big glass of water! That will help you loose weight and drink a glass of water before supper and you will feel fuller and might not eat as much good luck, and go to the gym that will help to! :0)

Dump the cokes and drink water.
Water has no calories.
If you exercise a bit you will lose even more weight!
But just dumping the cokes will help a lot.

think about it... one bottle of coke contains 12 teaspoons of sugar... 15 kcals per teaspoon = 180 per bottle... if you drink 5 bottles of coke per day 180 x 5 = 900... that is around half your daily caloric allowance... 1 kilogram of fat in the body is 3000calories, the equivalent of between fifteen and 18 bottles of coke... switch to water at 0 cals... now you answer your own question... do you think you will lose weight?

Yes cutting out sodas will help you lose weight. I used to drink sodas and then I quit and only drink water now and knocked 10 pounds off of me.

There are a ton of calories in soda. Either replace the soft drinks with water (BEST CHOICE) or drink diet sodas that have no calories.
