If you are a child, then your parent can sue for child support, if he denies being your father they will have all of you take a paternity test. if you are an adult i dont think there is much you can do.

Refusing the DNA Test

Most states have laws that give courts the power to order the putative father to submit to DNA testing. You can be found in civil contempt for refusal to obey a court order. This can mean a fine and/or jail time.

Paternity can be established by default when the putative father fails to attend a court hearing or go for testing and was properly served with notice. Paternity can also be established in some states by publication of the putative father's name in the newspaper. Check with an attorney in your state about what happens if you refuse to take the test.

Take him to court and the court will force him to take a DNA test or else they will arrest him. But, be careful, because in most states if he turns out not to be the father, then you will be responsible for the cost of the test and the court costs. If he is the father, then he will have to pay, plus they will figure out child support and visitation after that. Good luck!!

You need to figure out who is most likely the father or your going to have to pay for the test but you can take him to court for child support and they won't make him pay your anything before you get a test...if he denies the baby.

Do you have a father that loves you? What happens if this guy would take the test and it comes back saying that he is not your father, what would you do. my mother was adopted and she asked me if she should look for her real parents and i told her no. the people that raised her,are my grandparents and that who I consider family, not some stranger. so if you have a mother and a father that you know they love you then don't worry about finding your real father. I hope i help you out. If you want to you can email back, this is my email addy, mockingbyrd187@yahoo.com

contract the local department that handles child support. you can get a dna test this way, if he will show up for court. if he refuses you can always ask a brother, sister, or parent of the boy to be tested if they are willing.

There is nothing you can do to make him.
*Unless you are a mior child in which case, you will need to have your mother sue him for child support and file a petition to avow paternity. If he says he is not your father, and does not want to pay child support, then his lawyer will file what I just mentioned and he will take one.
Easy enough.

If you are nearly positive you can go to court and have him ordered to do so....If you're wrong he can sue you and the court can make you pay for the test and the time he off he took to do through it.

A court order would probably be the way to go.

(Of course, you could always go the CSI route and use some spit out gum or hairs from his hairbrush, lol.)
