Like going to the Advice Central Chat Room, Seeking advice but getting nothing but head lines that say 13 year old girl will trade pics. Or hot 18/m looking for the ladies. Can we not get rid of this non sense. It is very pointless to people who are actually looking for a nice down to earth chat with other people with commen intrests.

The majority of that is bots sending automated messages to everyone in every chat room trying to solicit traffic to their websites... In other words, SPAM...
wish Yahoo could stop them but for now just ignore them...

a very good question. this i have asked myself many times,never finding an answer. it drives away the people who like to meet others for friendly chats. but why it is so is really a matter to be thought about. may be the reason is that when the identity is hidden u can u whatever your devilself tells you. no body can know who is doing what.nobody is perfect too. perhaps it satisfies the negetive instincts of the people who want to do such things with no strings attached. strings are never attached, i think that is the point. people dont feel guilty too.
too many reasons, huh?
but,unfortunately and obviously it disintegrates the standard and goodwill of internet chatting, anyway

I totally agreed with you, its to a point that sometimes I don't want to log on my instant messager window because every one approach me for a silly conversation looking for dates or ciber sex. I guest people always have fantasies inside themselves... they are hidden secrets for the love ones and they can be completely anonimous in the internet.

thats how all chatrooms r nowadays. u can never find a decent chatroom with those kind of people. thats y i only talk to people i kno in the chatrooms not those other people. i dont see y they cant go chat somewhere else. the internet is full of dating chatrooms.

I soooo agree... not that a little intimate talk doesn't hurt once in a while... but sometimes you'ld like to connect with someone on a different level... I've tried and tried... but it still leads right back to wanting nude pics and etc...

chat rooms are a meat market for disposable relationships. if you don't like it stay out of chat rooms. things wont change.
