the day i was born, innocent and harmless

I was happiest during my first couple of years at university (away from parents, the tedium of school, new friends etc).

The other times are a long trip to the USA (escaped from winter in Poland); and a recent move to Brazil (much better quality of life than the UK).

Generally the "happy" periods involved escape, having money and some decent people, and a contrast with a miserable period before.

The worst patches in my life have all involved 9-5 jobs in the UK.

When I met my husband, who is now my exhusband. If I could go back I would have worked harder. We both worked all the time trying to provide for our child and get by. We lost sight of alot of important things. So I will say that when I met him, and loved him with all my heart, and we had our beautiful little girl, I was the happiest. Looking back is very hard, knowing how all has changed. Everyone should think long and hard about the decisions they make. Those decisions will stay with you for your entire lifetime. If I could go back, I most certainly would. No matter what the price, to give my daughter those chances I took away from her. To be with the man I should have never left, I love him, and my daughter. They are what makes me happy.

This question has already been asked by another person,
so I will repeat exactly as before. It was when my first son
was born, to be a father for the first time is unbeatable to
me. I have five altogether and I was happy with all who
were born normally and in good health, but the first is a
new experience which makes a man feel as if he has
accomplished his duty. Today I love all the others equally,
but you are always closer to one who respects you the most,
and if not in looks, it is because he has followed your footsteps.
Cheers, Iain

MY happiest time in life would be doing homework with my daughters playing catch and doing all the fun things being a parent is about. Oh and every time I set foot on the beach.
