John Cena is NOT a tough guy. He's an entertainer who PLAYS a tough guy role.
And just for the record, he went through the Crucible at Parris Island - Marine Corps boot camp training - for his movie, "The Marine", and failed miserably! The DI's were laughing at him, because he had to stop so much. He couldn't hack it. And yes, I have inside information in regards to this - my best friend's husband is a DI at P.I.

I don't know how tough he is, because all we've ever seen him do is perform. I will say this, though - I sure would want him having my back as opposed to the guy I was facing if I was stuck in a dark alley!
He's an entertainer, though - whether it be a sports entertainer (inside the ring) or on the screen. His movie looks interesting enough that I will likely give it its due diligence when it comes out on DVD.
PS - his movie is the main reason he's getting so much hype right now. It's called A-D-V-E-R-T-I-S-I-N-G. Who do you think the movie execs have in mind for their target audience?

I like John Cena but they tend to overpromote him lately..
The storylines are getting old & they shove certain wrestlers in your face all the time.. I would love to see them promote batista,Chris Benoit a little more now they are tough..
EddE08 -there is advertising then their is overpromotion that almost makes you want to stop watching because it's the same thing over and over. I think Vince Mcmahon needs to get an imagination & a new favorite

He's pretty damn tough, if u watched Raw last night u woulda seen that he said he's tough but he's most deffinatly not as tough as his character John Triton [it was during promo for his movie] but yeah John Cena is tough and thats that.

yea, i think john cena is tough. i mean look at all the crap he has to take all the time. he wins matches and titles but still dosen't get any respect for what he has done. they come out after he's been in a long match and try to beat him when he's down and he tries to fight back. john cena doesn't just sit there and let them. sure they may win but at least he doesn't go down without a fight!!! i still think john cena's the champ and will continueto be the champ at cyber sunday.
