Let him sit. No need to rush him back

We think he'll be out for the Raiders game. That was a hard-a** hit last night! He's obviously not up to his game yet anyway. He needs some more recuperating time. We'd like to see him sit a game or two after that. But that's all up to the medical staff and coach...and Ben.

Hope he gets his groove back.

I think for the sake of creating drama everyones gonna make this seem bigger then it really is. . I say wether or not he's ready to play, give him the week off Charlie Batch is a good back up, and it's the raiders, and like I've said all year long.....Ben will be fine.

I think he will sit against the Raiders. Beyond that right now I'm not sure he will even sit that game. We will have to see what happens between now and Sunday. They said he drove his SUV to the team meeting on Monday. That is a good sign, and I heard Merril Hodge is reporting that he got a concussion and the X-Rays and MRIs came back negative and no fractures. So he should be fine.

My thoughts on this have been the same all season. I don't know ANYONE who recovers form an apendectomy in three weeks, I know they down played the severity of situation but it's STILL surgery and the average recovery time is 6+ weeks. Big Ben hasn't played well since the Superbowl, they should have let Batch play long before now. I don't think he should start in Oakland. They need to give him time to recover from everything, not just this latest incident.

I believe they will continue to monitor him closely and give his backup all the snaps at practice this week. Giving him a week off will be a wise move, as they can beat the Raiders without him.

He's still underweight from the accident and surgery. However hurt he might be, he needs to sit for a while, heal up and gain some of that weight back.

I really don't think Big Ben has fully recovered from his motorcycle accident. He didn't recuperate that long before he was at training camp. I think there may be some long lasting effects from that wreck. You are right, they don't need him when they play the Raiders.

i dont think its too serious but i agree that he should sit next week unless they need him. he needs to chill out and get ready for the week after.
