Make a really strong (I mean REALLY strong) chamomile tea and dissolve an aspirin in about half a cup of it and use to gargle.
Repeat every 4 hours or so.
You'll be amazed at how well it works (and all the junk that you spit out after gargling, you can actually see why it works.)

You have to drink 10 to 20 pure drops of green lemon three times a day, or a nice tea of green lemon and pure honey. My mother always do that and works for her. If it still lingers your cough, go see your doctor right away.

If you have had it that long, it is time to see a doctor. For me, I tend to get a sore throat from post-nasal drip when I catch a cold; my preferred treatment is two milligrams of morphine sulfate (that's a very small dose) every four to five hours, which not only stops my throat from hurting but tends to dry up my nose. A couple of days of this is sufficient, and makes a cold much less unpleasant.

See your doctor, if you don't have an infectious process going, then ask for Hycotuss.
