My almost two year old daughers hates eating anything given to her by her mother or any one else. But she likes eating wall paint, mud, and anything she finds on the floor (specially outdoors)!!!!!!!!.She is therefore, force fed by her mother which is really painful on us -- she cries a lot!! We are really worried....doctors do not seem to have an answer to this problem as they say that it is probably due to iron defficiency!! please help

I learned about something like this in one of my classes, and I believe it's called Pica; it's an eating disorder. When they don't eat food but other things like paint chips, and the other things you say your daughter eats. Try to look it up online, i'm sure it's there.

Children can be very frustrating at times to find foods that they show an interest in. However, try tempting her with various fruit...not mashed up inedible bottled stuff but some with color and flavor. Some will fix on a certain thing...my nephews fixed on plain boiled rice and a touch of soy sauce. It is not good, but fight to force food into the child increases their resistance to trying foods and stresses both of you. Let her pick off of your plate...make sure that the food is soft enough for her to chew it. An iron deficiency is very unlikely to cause this problem, it is simply a matter of creating an interest in tasting and eating foods. Some like spaghetti, others will fix on jello, Meal times should be fun, interesting and never stressful for a finickity child. It is better to have a messy eater than someone who develops more food problems as they grow. Be patient, try all things...yoghurt, juices, even candies to stimulate the appetite and build from there.

Ok, now this is a tough case. Try giving her vitamins for kids of special tablets for kids to open her appetite.
