I've been reading Kevin Trudeau’s "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About"
It has really opened my eyes and I would like to know everybody's suggestions if they've ever read this book.

You may have heard there are toxins in everything, but I bet the people you hear it from can't name them. It's a myth used to keep people buying useless de-tox kits & diets. That everyone has heard this story shows how successful these charlatans are at de-frauding the public. Take alcohol as an example. Too much is toxic and can kill. Once the alcohol enters your system, there is nothing that will get the alcohol out of your system faster. The body works at it's own speed to clear unwanted material. No de-tox system, diet or other method is going to change that. The natural way is to simply do nothing. Let your body do the work it was going to do anyway.

How to Remove Toxins by Detoxifying
Our bodies tend to accumulate toxins throughout our life. These toxins enter the body through the polluted air, water, food full of preservatives, chemicals and artificial colors, exposure to radiation and unhealthy lifestyle practices like smoking, alcohol and drugs. If not removed immediately, they can cause tiredness, restlessness and lead to many serious diseases like cancer, heart diseases, osteoporosis, diabetes and others. Research has indicted these toxins in many diseases and this has led people to follow a healthy lifestyle. The process of elimination of these toxins is called detoxification or detox.

Detox, short for detoxification, in general is the removal of toxic substances from the body. It is one of the functions of the liver and kidneys, but can also be achieved artificially by techniques such as dialysis and (in a very limited number of cases) chelation therapy.

Other less mainstream methods for eliminating toxic substances from the body include the modification of the diet and addition of certain herbs and rituals such as colonic irrigation, juice fasting and sweat lodges. All these methods claim to assist the body's natural detoxification process.

Specific meanings of detoxification or detox:
A form of drug rehabilitation, used to treat alcoholism or other drug addiction. The process involves abstinence to clear the drug from the body, accompanied by social and environmental support during the associated physiological and psychological changes. A non-drug method for detox from drugs or alcohol is acupuncture detoxification.
A class of diets whose underlying assumption is that the body accumulates toxins that must be purged, especially after unhealthy periods such as over-eating during festivals. Toxins, in this case, refer to toxic substances - often of undefined nature - from foods, the environment and the body's own wastes. "Detox diet" is a common phrase, as is "I'm on a detox". See detox diet.
Forms of complementary medicine that claim to remove such toxins from the body: for instance, by herbal, electrical or electromagnetic treatments. As the definition of toxins in this and the previous context has little scientific basis, the validity of such techniques is questionable. There is no evidence for such accumulation; the liver and kidneys automatically detoxify and excrete many toxic materials, including metabolic wastes. Under this theory if toxins are too rapidly released without being safely eliminated (such as burning fat that stores toxins) they can pollute the body causing malaise.
A process by which a substance is made less toxic.
A marketing term started in 2004 by Evian to sell their bottled water. Marketing catchlines include: "detox with evian," "evian.detox," "evian - your natural detox," and "drink at least 1.5L of evian every day to help cleanse your system inside out." The marketing campaign has included a five-step process aimed at personal health. Although the first step advocates drinking any kind of water, they claim: "Evian is especially good because it’s pure waters are filtered through the mineral-rich Alpine region." There is not a consensus among health experts that Evian is more healthy than any other type of processed potable water.

You might want to research Trudeau. It's like he'll do anything to make a buck. The FTC has pegged him as a scammer and he has had to pay enormous fines. I wouldn't put too much faith in what he wrote in his book. Truth isn't important to him, selling books is!

I've never read the book but I do have "A Prescription for Dietary Wellness" and I also have the book "Eat to Live" , and "Cure Arthritis the Drug Free Way" they are all awesome! I have Rheumatoid Arthrititus, it runs in my family, my sister who is two years younger than me (34) is taking Oxycontin for hers...I take nothing.

When my symptoms developed I immediately did the 7 day detox as recommended in "A Prescription for Dietary Wellness" that included coffee and lemon enemas. Within the first two days my symptoms started disappearing, it was amazing. Then I started drinking a combination of Apple Cidar Vinegar, Honey and Blackstrap Molasses, three times daily along with other recommendations in "Cure Arthritis the Drug Free Way". A friend of mine in the UK had another kind of arthritis to where she was practically unable to move, hers affected the muscles. She went on a total vegan diet and fast as recommeneded in the book "Eat to Live"...all of her symptoms disappeared. She also was a Type II Diabetic and she hasn't had to take insulin since changing to veganism. Her mom, inspired by her daughters healthy outcome, changed to a vegan diet and she has RA like me and hasn't had a relapse. Her mom is in her 50's and for the first time in ten years can not only wear her wedding ring but is also jogging daily. :-) So, I bought that book as well and started a path to veganism and lost over 20 pounds in one month. I didn't have to take any pain killers for months until, slowly I started getting lazy and eating the wrong foods again and now I'm starting to develop symptoms again.

I do not want to be in pain for my whole life, nor do I want to become dependent on medication. I much prefer the natural way of healing. My symptoms have returned on account of me stopping the healthy lifestyle, it's like my body is screaming, "HELLO! We were doing great and feeling great before and you blew it...I'll show you!" LOL Anyway, I find that I am able to stay on track better when I read those positive books instead of putting on the shelf to gather dust.

Good luck to you.
