I want the cell on the right to grow, but the one on the left to stay the same size... but if i make the right cell grow the left just grows right with it.

I couldn't make it work, so I just try to keep everything the same height when working up and down. If you look at my page at http://www.kathyannscottage.com/custom_draft_stoppers.htm You can see that I tried to have tables inside of tables, but my left hand column still has empty space at the top and bottom because it has less stuff in it than the wider, right hand column. Below that, I just started a new table. You could also try asking on the MS Frontpage help board. http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?so=0&pg=1&dg=microsoft.public.frontpage.client&lang=en&cr=US&guid=

That remark about Frontpage and standards was not very nice.

I am not quite sure what you mean, but perhaps you can give your left cell a fixed width... in code it would be or rather if you want to adhere to stricter standards, but because you are using FrontPage I am assuming that standards are not an issue for you.

The other cell then has an indefinite width and will grow to the width of the table - 10px depending on what you put in there.

I hope it helps.

By the way, try learning HTML, it is very easy and makes life so much simpler, esp. with editing programs such as Frontpage. If something goes wrong, you'll know where to look :D
