While I haven't heard of this theory, I would also question the validity of the statement. It would seem to me that bipeds spend much more energy balancing as opposed to quadrapeds who have four legs to stand on and so are very stable.
Also, this seems to me to be a very humanocentric view of aliens. Similar to our view of god. It is a side effect of the culture that we live in to think that any organism or being with more control and/or power than we do must look at least somewhat like us. We think this because our culture teaches us that humans are the pinnacle of evolution (which, I'm sorry to say, we're not). And so taking that one step further, anything better than us must be associated with us in some way, sort of a "we are a part of the ideal blueprint" complex, or else we would just be another branch on the tree of life (which we are).

If you look around at the World's species, we certainly arent the most efficent shape or size, or have the most efficent body parts. We are slow, scared, tire easliy, and were always convinced we're about to drownd. We could be, however the most efficent shape for the evolution of Intelligence. Any more legs, and our mind would be overworked just getting around. Any more eyes, ears, or fingers, and our senses would be overloading our brains. Its possible that our simple 2arms 2legs 1 head, all relativly symetrical, No frills design actually helped us evolve a more capable brain.
If that were true, you would expect that super intellegent aliens, elsewhere, would have underdeveloped physically in order to evolve more capable brains, possibly telekenisis.
When you grow certain strains of plants for harvest, you will notice that the same plant grown indoor wont have to combat the elements, and will grow with thinner stalks, but yield more crop. Less energy will be spent developing the stalk and more energy will be available during the fruiting stage. Could be the same.

Our ideas of what an alien looks like are largely based on hollywood. Before movies, there was zero talk of aliens, just angels and demons.
For decades, aliens were protrayed by humans in costumes (sometimes hilarious). Or if the was little budget, simply humans in costumes.
because humans look like humans, aliens did too.
In the real world, Earth, very few of the animals we share the planet with look very human at all.
It is unreasonable to assume that aliens developing with different gravity, atmosphere, biochemistry and completely different evolutionary pressures will turn out to resemble us any more than say, a lobster or an octopus does.

Well, it could be true for solid planets. It may be possible that there are life-forms on other planet types though. For example, Jupiter's moon Europa is thought to be mostly liquid beneath a thick cap of ice. If life existed in the Europan sea, it would be unlikely to be humanoid. Also, there are many gaseous type planets. If they held life, again, I could not see it being humanoid.

No. But this theory reminds me of Bounty Hunter from a completed tv series of 'the x-files'. We maybe aliens, because there is another life forms out in space maybe thought of us this way.

There has to be alien life forms on this planet but they have lower intelligence - see some of the questions on this site!

I have never heard of this theory, but that does not mean aliens cannot look like us.

I can never understand why people believe in Alien life forms and don't believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ who died for us on the Cross. I love astronomy and I'm also a Born-Again-Christian. I can only echo what the Bible says about Creation.
I'm not ruling out the chance of their being life on other planets, in distant Solar Systems in the many millions of Galaxies. But as far as U.F.O's, are concerned, I've never seen one, and I spent quite a long time scanning the night sky, just admiring God's Handiwork, in this amazing Universe.
But we have to be realistic, the Bible is for the Human Race and nothing to do with Alien Life Forms. I believe in God, through personal experience, not in evolution which is only a "Theory", sadly taken by many as fact. Even Darwin was a Christian, he never set out to disprove God, he just tried to find out where and how we originated. The answers are all in the Word of God, which will be revealed to you if you put your faith in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit will reveal the things of God to you in prayer and in your daily walk with the Lord.
God Bless You.
