They could only use the metal strings if they changed the ball type too!
Yet still they would have to use more balls than they use now if they used metal. and yet still the ball wouldnt get that spring that makes the tenis games so interesting!
The Metal strings can not stretch as the the other materials.
Go to The Wimbledon Museum and see the way these raqs were and are made.

if it was partly made out of metal it could work. this is the case in raquet frames...they are only partly made in metal to make them stronger...if the whole raquet was partly made in metal (including strings) it would be top heavey as everyone has said.

well, the racket with metal strings willl beat the s*** out of the ball! lol. and yes it won't bounce that much. yes this is a piece of s*** answer but what the f*** do you think i know about tennis? its like the seccond most boring sport to watch besides golf! man, u picked the wrong subject to ask about because i hate tennis! its the most piece of s*** game in the world! i totally prefer ping pong! at least you don't have to run as much and its easier to win! okay. im gonna go before i have myself a stroke! bye.
