Any idea how can we comfort a friend who feel sad after she found out that his/her ex-gf/bf has a new bf/gf?

Listen listen listen. You will get sick of the repetition and the memory that isn't quite accurate. But she needs to have a safe place to vent.
Then try to distract her. Go out to eat, someplace THEY didn't go. Maybe the movies. Things to help occupy her until she begins to feel better.
Just be a good friend.

I have a friend going through the same thing right now. Basically I'm trying to listen to what she has to say. offer some personal experiance and remind her that she's better off with out him. Also we joked a litte about sending the new girl a thank you letter for taking him off her hands. Basically...just be a friend.

The best way, is just to be her friend, listen to her, talk to her, and try to go out and do something.
