I just switched my daughter's ballet school. She had just gotten new pink ballet shoes, but this school requires white. Do you think I can just put white shoe polish on the pink ones?

NO!!! NEVER PUT SHOE POLISH ON BALLET SLIPPERS! NEVER EVER!

The only thing you can do is buy new ones.
I am assuming she does not need pointe shoes...LOL.

Here are some places to get ballet slippers.

Shoe polish is made for hard surfaces. Ballet shoes are made of fabric, so you would have to dye them. Unfortunately, if she has already worn them, the dirt from the soles will get all over the shoes when you try to get them wet during the color-stripping process.

If her pointes are the silky ones the shoe polish will make them look hard and ugly, almost leathery.
I'd recommend putting a cap full of bleach in a bucket of hot water.
Let them soak for 10 minutes, and then take a lot of care to rinse them out properly using first hot and them cold water.
Let them air dry and maybe apply some polish to the soles to keep them soft if they are leather..
Hope this helps.

Just buy a new pair. The polish will continually rub off, plus it will look bad. Spring for the new shoes so your daughter won't feel self-conscious.

Ummm... I really dont think thats going to do much. Even the Cremes wont stain it enough.

You might want to just try bleaching them or something. I was a shoe shiner in Vegas so I know that polish definatly wont work.

Polish won't work.... you can only dye them....Better yet, search on E bay, a lot of good deals there and you could probably pick up another pair relatively cheap...Good luck!

You could do but it would make them very stiff and very uncomfortable. Get new ones.

Yes but it will eventually crack and you will need to reapply.
