Wow, youre pretty narrow-minded don't ya think? Education does not imply that one is not prone to anger management problems or violence. One's bad mental state and whether or not they violently act out does not necessarily mean that they are uneducated. I mean if we want to think logically and say well if one is more educated, then they will probably be more mature and have a better ability to reason between right and wrong but unfortunately when it comes to human nature and disgusting tendencies such as this logic cannot be applied...

It is more common that you realize but in the educated classes it seams it is more hidden. Think about what would be said and the status in the social community. It is less talked about in a higher class because there is so much to lose.

Yes, battery doesn't have boundries. It's a cycle, the victim looses any dignity and self respect - as the cycle continues, the only way the see power is to do the same thing to someone weaker than them.
Horrific isn't it?

Spousal abuse can happen to any body. Class, money or social status mean nothing when it comes to a spouse needing control over their partner so badly that they resort to violence.
It's not just "trailer park spouses" or "ghetto spouses" that suffer abuse. It's in all societies unfortunately.
If it's happening to you, there is help out there. Get in the yellow pages and call your local abuse hot line, or call the police and have them take action against your spouse.

(I say spouse, not husband, because women can be violent just like men can.)

Of course, most of the physical abuse cases were even among lawyer couples, or the husband was a doctor or a stock market person

It is not common. It is the exception and you should not stay in a relationship that includes battery of any kind....physical, verbal, or emotional. To do so, is to lose yourself and your dignity.
