1) Some commercials try to rush too much information into your head in 30 seconds. It's enough that the programs are now geared for short attention spans that the commercial has to do the same.

2) There must be some very weird senses of humor out there in advertising land (weird as in complete lunacy). Case in point-they've resumed the "Caveman" ads for Geico...now with a simulated interview straight out of Fox News!

3) Half the time our local cable company sets the volume 2 ticks up when the commercial comes on and then back to normal when it's over. How annoying can that be?

I think the worst commercial is the one where the dad just spent three weekends building a treehouse for his ungrateful little brat, and the brat says he would rather stay in the van, playing fish, watching a dvd. I would have ripped that kid out of the van, and made him spend at least a week in his room, and tore the treehouse down. But happened was the kid smartmouthed him, and he shrunk back. What a great father figure that was!

If you think that your average T.V. commercial is an insult to the intelligence of the majority, have a look at all the 'celebrity magazines' crap down at your local newsagent and think again.

Only some are. Some are hilarious. Sometimes the commercials are more enjoyable to watch than the regular tv program.
