Creation should be fine for a hen night, the right sort of mix of dance and cheese. It does get busy with students though. I'd also recommend Oceana nightclub for a hen night, again the sort of popular chart and mainstream dance that you're probably after, and I hear it's very impressive when you're inside with lots of rooms.

These aren't the best clubs in Leeds mind, but are probably the best geared up for a hen night (I can't really see a hen night at a jazz / funk / hip-hop night, but you might want to prove me wrong...)

If you're going to either Creation or Oceana, you should stick around the north end of the city centre so you don't have to walk too far.

If you want something a bit different, go to Fab Cafe (under Morrisons in the Merrion Centre) - cult nostalgia bar, decked out with posters from child-hood, old video-games, a life-size Dalek and UV lights.

The area around Millennium Square should suit a hen night quite well - chain-wise there's a Revolution, Bar HaHa and Cocoon. As for independents, Bourbon is quite a nice bar. The Courtyard is always popular and has an outside heated courtyard which is quite pleasant.

Oh - but avoid Walkabout - it's a dive.

Depending on the size and loudness of your group, if you want to go to cooler, more chilled places I'd recommend North Bar, Sandinista and the Lounge up that end of town, although I must stress that they're not very hen night sort of places. You might want to save them for a future visit.

Also worth considering are the bars near the Corn Exchange, on Call Lane and Assembly Street. There's little point in me listing them or recommending individual bars - just wander up and down the street and see which place takes your fancy, and which place looks most likely to accept a large group of drunken ladies.

Final tip - pick up a copy of the Leeds Guide (available from all newsagents in Leeds) when you arrive. It has a map in the centre pages that will show you where most of the bars and clubs are I've mentioned, and the listings pages will give you a good idea of what's on in each place.

Have a great night!

Hi, Leeds is mint. Although never been to Creation, try the bars around the Corn Exchange and if you fancy a bite to eat, go to Pizza Express (also near the Corn Exchange) and they will make a garlic bread willy for the hen, they did it for me!!!!!

Don't know much of Leeds, but the Stick Or Twist is a Wetherspoon's pub so would be a nice cheap place to start the night :)

I assume a "hen" is a married women going out with her female friends? If so, why are you all going to clubs or bars? People who are married should be steering clear of places where singles hang out. Rethink this ladies. Do you allow your husbands to do the same? If so, you are asking for trouble in your marriages.

There is a vodka bar that has every flavour you could think of. Good place to start the night. Can't remember what it is called. I will get back to you if I can.
