these tubes are very troublesome i'd like to take them out but dont know why they are there. I have to wait another week for them to be removed,this is torture.Plus I think that their stiched in there.

they most certainly are sutured in, don't under any circumstances pull on them. The tubes are there to keep the swelling down and the airways open, and also to keep the tissues in place while they heal.

I had septoplasty.

Keep the tubes in! They are serving as splints, and support the repaired cartilage. There is also a whole ton of packing in and around the affected area. They are probably stitched in place, but you really don't want them to come out.

You have no idea how much stuff they have jammed in your nasal cavity right now. When they do finally take it out, it feels like everything but the kitchen sink and your Grandma's Buick was up there.

It is a miserable recovery until they come out. For the weeks after it is removed, you have to be very careful, and try not to blow your nose.

Still, about a month after it is all done, sinus troubles go away, and breathing is much better.

It is worth the misery. Tough it out.
