If you have windows home edition there is no way to remote connect without an additional install.
If you have windows XP Pro do the following
1- Right click on My Computer --> Properties
2- Click on "Remote" tab
3- check the box that says "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer"
If you have XP Home I recommend using RealVNC at www.realvnc.com

Enable Remote Desktop and use the Remote Desktop Client on your other computers

Connect to it sing Remote Desktope or another programs such as Goto My PC,PC Anywhere,etc.

do u have windows xp professional or home edition? if you have home edition your out of luck. or try another remote program like vnc
