The passport expired in May of 2006. What is the procedure to renew?

Very good time to renew it!! Why wait after it expired??? I don't know from what country you came from, So I can't help you. Sorry!

go to www.firstgov.gov and do a search on passports. It's not a problem to renew an expired passport.

Go to the post office for a new application.

If you're American, you can do it at the post office.
