I don't wish to reveal how I was able to unlock the phone. How do I go about returning the phone?

granted it is a tricky situation...i don't really think it's a violation of privacy unless you kept their personal information or gave it to someone else, or started harassing people on their list of numbers. i used to work at home depot and people would be forever leaving their phones, so we would look under their phone list and call their home/spouse/children or some other relative and inform them that this person had left their phone. i never came across one person that wasn't anything but grateful. but if you are that worried, you can do as the other person said and return it to a local store of their provider(sprint, tmobile etc) and they will contact that person.

Depending on what service the phone is using I would try to call the customer service. Tell them you found the phone and maybe they can help you find the owner. The other option is to call the last number called and tell them you found the phone and wish to to return it. Or you can scroll thru the directory and see if you see a listing for Mom or Dad, call them and tell them you found the phone and wish to return it to its owner.

I don't think the owner will mind that you were able to unlock the phone, and I think it is wonderful you are trying to return it.

Return it to the company. The owner's number should have come up when you unlocked it.

I wouldn't worry .. they should be happy your kind. Just keep calling the numbers and eventually one will lead to someone that will help you.. thank you ,,, your kind. If that comes up about the privacy thing ... that would be an insult... to you your trying to be a good Samaritan. you should be thanked and thanked Phones are expensive.

I wish everyone was like you. My son lost two and we never got them back. The last one lost was a BRAND new RAZOR!
