Can already connect from other PC running ME, so no problems with hardware or broadband. On XP install I cannot access Voyager Home page either by url or ip address. I'm using a Belkin USB wireless adaptor - message says PC has no network name, but the XP repair fails. I've checked the settings on the PC that works but as far as I can see they are the same. I recall that there was a similar problem setting up the originalE connection which was resolved when I set up 128 character WEP encryption , but this doesn't seem to make any difference

seems you have netbeui problem on your XP. Either you need to install it or make same Workgroup name on each device.

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

It may be the SSID. Go to XP Start > Help & Support and enter "network name". Also see if your wireless unit is expecting a particular SSID set at the factory. You might be able to change one or the other or both to match.
