i have seen some magic tricks revealed
most of them are clever illusions or slight of hand (meaning his hands are really fast/quick)
sometimes they trick you into concentrating on something (for example his right hand) when the actualy trickery is in something/somewhere else (in his left hand)
there are even those where the footage was actualy taken from a location and the whole crew, audience, whatever are in on it, example a plane dissappered behind a cloth, with some makeshift chairs in some place for the 'audience' actualy the audience are part of the act too, they just act suprised.

David Copperfield is titled an Illusionist, not a magician which means he is either tricking the eye, or some other trick.

As with most "magic" making large objects disappear relies on misdirection. It doesn't need to use any obscure scientific process.

It's a simple trick. I couldn't believe how simple, when I found out :-)
