Nope, I LOVE my makeup! I love the different looks I can give myself and others. Of course though, I don't need to wear it all the time. I can easily go to the store with no makeup on, no problem. However, foundation should be worn at least. It protects your skin from the dust and dirt and wind, and with an SPF, from the sun. The key to having great skin, though, is having a strict cleansing regime. Like, washing your face EVERY NIGHT before going to bed using a cleanser for your skin, using toner and moisturizer! You can wear makeup all the time, as long as you look after the skin underneath. If you have a reaction to a product, DON'T USE IT! It's just common sense!

I think every woman looks better with a little makeup for enhancement. However, at 21 you probably don't need it. A fresh face without makeup has its own special beauty. However, if you want to try it again sometime in the future, consider either Clinique or Almay -- both hypoallergenic brands that feature products for sensitive skins. Natural or organic cosmetics are also gentle for the skin. I use very little makeup -- just sunscreen, a little blush and lipgloss. Most eye makeup is extremely irritating to me and makes my eyes tear, so I avoid it.

makeup hasn't affected me negatively, by any means. for me its helps remind me to wash and tone and moisturize my face twice a day. in the am to help with flawless application and in the pm to remove.
maybe it is not just the makeup, but your skin care. there are also a lot of makeup out there geared to sensitive skin and people with allergies
