A well cared for cockatiel can live up to 25 years. I breed and hand rear lots and have had them breeding at 15 years of age.
Care sheets are available free on my web site

Our books say good care and a healthy bird will give you 10 years of joy from your cockatiel.

If they're well-taken care of, 20 years is not unheard of. My cockatiel, Bob Marley, is already almost 9, and as sassy as ever!

I've known some ppl who have tiels that have lived up to 25 yrs old but it's just not that simple to say. It all depends on how they are taken care of.
