Some best ways of running away from your mind and thinking, are:

1) Emerse yourself in something you like to do (hobby, club,)
2) Be busy at work, or elsewhere. keep your mind off of other things.
3) know what you want to runaway from in your mind, then keep the rest of your mind busy
4) meditate, clear you mind of everything. start fresh.

Learn to process through your thoughts without having to resolve anything. Keep a 'cap' over them to be opened again at appropriate times and re processed. Your attitude changes when you allow yourself permission to 'walk' through your thinking. You'll be amazed how much you stand to gain from working through your thoughts than denying them. Denying them means you need to be as fast as the thoughts are coming up for you to quickly devise something else to do with yourself than listening to what the thoughts are saying to you. It gets to the point you are so good at flipping the thought switch you always come up with something to do just so you don't get to face the 'truth' of your inner being. Generally, this is known as compulsive behavior. It's a cycle , only you can stop. But you must 'wake up' first (means basicially listening to what your thoughts are saying).

Be happy in yourself and always put things into perspective, instead of hating these things, look at the good in yourself and don't be embarrased to, after all the only person we really have is ourselves!

Try a frontal lobotomy - that's the creative part of the brain. Once it's gone, you'll be a happy idiot.

its gonna be hard to get away from this...in fact i dont even think its possible. if your stressed out or somethings going wrong i can understand you wanting to just get away.

try yoga....you can just get lost in it and its so relaxing....but i like more upbeat excercise so yoga doesnt do that good....but if u like slow, relaxing workouts do yoga. excercise will help you deal w/ your stress and make you feel tons better>
