They will ask you all the normal questions as other people have said. You have to remember that cleaver answers is not going to get you the job - anyone can make themselves sound perfect for a specific job. The best thing is to be completely honest, relaxed and positive. Try asking them a few questions too - you also need to see if YOU want to work for them. This will show them that you care about what you do. Its easy to sell a product you believe in. If they like you, they will employ you - there's nothing you cant be taught! Good luck!!

I used to have to interview people to work in a pub and I always used to ask "If you were a hot drink what would you be?". Working serving people in somewhere like that is not difficult, it's the personality you need to be able to do the job. So if they ask you why you want to work there don't say it's because you need the money and it's close to where you live, say you enjoy meeting people and working with the public etc. If that's not true and you don't like people then don't go for the job, you're not right for it. Good luck and smile don't be nervous, just be friendly and together and you'll nail it!

It seems to be a trend in interviews lately to ask you for examples of how you have handled yourself in certain situations. eg Give an example of a time where you dealt with a particularly difficult customer or a particularly difficult situation, how did you handle it. So as a bit of prep work sit & think about specific situations before hand, that way it won't catch you off guard & make you seem hesitant. Even if they don't ask that specific question, you might find a way of bringing it into the interview (if relevant).

They might ask you things like
1) Previous positions, your qualifications for the job and why you think you should get the job
2) Questions to see how you might handle different scenarios that might come up in the work place
3) Your plans for the future and how they fit in with the cafe
4)How you can make the cafe better
For more ideas you might try googling interview questions

Why do you want this job?
What make you the best candidate for the job?
Examples of how you had to solve problems, work with a team, deal with difficult customers, co-workers, supervisers, etc.
What is your goal? (how long do you plan to be here if we decide to invest training in you, Are you ambitious) -tricky question because if you suggest that you are too ambitious then they will think its a waste because you'll be leaving soon to bigger and better things but if not ambitious enough they will think you won't have a reason for continuous improvement.
Good Luck

I expect they will want to know about you! How you deal with difficult situations, your personality, how well you work as part of a team, your weaknesses and strengths. The usual interview questions like that. Sell yourself, and good luck!

Have a few questions to ask them at the end of the interveiw... most interviews ask at the end "have you got anything that you want to ask me" as a general rule that like to see that you Have taken an interest in the job that you are applying for ... also so it shows you are keen.

They will probably assess your appearance so dress smart and wear your hair back. They'll ask you about previous experience and will want to know how flexible you are in terms of working hours. Just be enthusiastic, smile a lot and make eye contact with the interviewer - you'll be fine!!!

what can you bring to the team, what are your goals, where do you see youself in 5 years. these are some questions. Go to monster.com that is a great help. and be confident.
If everyone in the world lived by the golden rule(treat people the way you would like to be treated)(do unto others as you would like done to yourself) what a great world this would be.
