Why Do Attractive People Think They're Ugly?

Well???? And they also compare themselves with other attractive people and they don't think they're attractive enough? What's up with that? Especially Girls. Explain.
And are you an attractive person?

My boyfriend says im attractive and alot of other dudes but i cant seem to see it because i dont know i do compare myself with attractive girls and i dont think i am attractive and i am a girl

it is all down to insecurities.it does not matter if you are attractive if you have insecurities and low self esteem or lack confidence or self belief you DO NOT THINK YOU are attractive. it really doesnt matter what other people tell you it has to come from within. of course i am attractive (maybe not to everyone) but i am confident i have high self esteem and blokes in the past have said to me a confident woman is attractive. beauty comes from within it starts inside and works out.

I truly think the older we get the smarter we are, we don't look at attractive as outside only. A person can be attractive outside and be a very unattractive person inside, I think the inside is more important.

when people tell you this yes you appreciate it but then you end up comparing yourself to air brushed fluff and you wonder when you will look in the mirror and have lost it
its not a nice world! as a woman getting older you gain confidence but becauase our society relies so much on fashion and celebrities and plastic sugery its hard to let go of the idea that we are going to be young and beautiful forever
growing up my mother told me (alot) how beautiful i was and how so-and so thought I was gorgeous but if i lost a few pounds I could be even more attractive when she was mad at me she would tell me I was an ugly peson to upset me

it all comes down to self issues, girls are expected to be 20 lbs underweight all their lives...its hard to live up to that, girls are supposed to be soft& have full figures...its nature! so girls combat nature every day. also, self esteem issues, if ur told ur ugly often enough u start to beleive it... and yes im attractive, ive got some inperfections, but i think they make me who i am! i could have been a model back in the day, i even had pictures done & got offers, i chose to have fun, climb trees, swim, surf, and eat!

It's all self-image. It's not a good idea to point out to a less-than-
perfect person that he or she is not attractive. It will lower his/her
self-esteem. Better to let them think they are attractive. If they think they're ugly, they'll act ugly and you don't want that.

i think inm ugly even like the elephant man joseph merrick i have been insulted all my life about my facial appearance i.e ugly different and even freak show some say i have BDD BUT I know what i see when i look in the mirror my freind DEREK has a port wine stain on his face but he not bothered at all he tried to have it removed but it was too deep inbedded

They may have low self esteem issues that have a foundation in some other problems they have....some of them may not really think so, but would you really like to hang out with someone who always goes around saying "I'm so beautiful" or "look at me"....
