i think i would and i think most others would to, unlike the appeals for people ripping banks etc off on crimewatch, this directly affects most people in taxes etc, and most of us work for our money, why not give up the ones who feel the world owes them a living?

The simple answer is yes... but then nothing in life is simple...
Why do people cheat? Well some need the money, others are cheating 'scumbags' to use another answerer's word.
But what about fraud and so-called white collar crime where rich fat cats evade tax and do underhand deals which are hard to discover and even harder to prosecute. Far more crime is committed by people like that and for far bigger sums than benefit cheats.
So ship the benefit cheats if they are blatantly making more money than they need and have 6 houses and 9 cars (you get my gist) but push for more investigation into corporate crime since their tax evasion keeps your rates up.
Take care and stay happy..

Yes I would if they were doing it openly and for a long time. Someone struggling to put shoes on the kids feet and maybe working a couple of days don't count. I'm talking about the ones who work every day and still sign on every week saying they've got bad backs etc and can't work. They make me sick cos my Mam and Dad worked their whole lives and can't get a pennys worth of help even tho they're 80 and frail and on a pension. Mam needs sticks to walk and can't get attendance allowance cos they said she's not disabled enough. She can't even shop anymore unless she spends £30 then she gets home delivery but she doesn't always want to spend that much in one shop. Dad can't do anything at all like that either. So, yes, I would blast every benefit cheat out of the water!

Yes of course! Why should hard working people pay their taxes so that other people who can't be bothered to work can claim benefits. But then again what if you found out a family member or a friend was unlawfully claiming benefits would you report them then? That would be hard one. I reckon if that was the case for me I would warn them of my plans to grass them up if they do not stop claiming benefits when not legally entitled to!

Too much of this is going on. We the tax payer have to foot the bill. But reporting it....well yes but does it do any good as we know that government is squandering money left right and centre.
They pay massive salaries to people to pursue these frauds more than what is being actually conned out of the system.

Damn right I would! My Mum was on benefits before I was old enough to go to school so she could be a full-time mum and be there for me. She never cheated the system and I don't see why anyone else should get away with it!

Im actually considering doing it now. My friends parents have moved abroad but are still claiming benefits in this country because its so easy now its paid direct into banks.

we were on benefits and someone reported us, becaus we sold some of our babies old clothes for £60!!!! I think people should think VERY carefully before reporting somebody, and making sure they are actually doing something wrong!

Without a doubt, my tax is going towards that benefit, that they don't deserve
