I am interested in starting a handyman service in Chicago. What type of license, if any, do I need?

What are some of the limitations on work I can perform? Is a bond and liability insurance required. Any help is appreciated.

For soemthing like this, you need to deal directly with the city of Chicago. All cities are usally different .
best to check with (start at) your city clerks office. some also have departments that handle registration etc.
all of them more than likely will require insurance and some even a bond. Good luck in your search.

You would at least need an HVAC license if you will be doing that. It would be in your best interest to have insurance.
