I think they get points similar to Yahoo Answers for how many people they drive nuts with religion.

Many people turn to their belief structure in all aspects of their lives. So their answers to your questions automatically go to their belief structure.

If you ask questions with a possible moral conotation, for example about abortion, gay marriage, premarital sex, cheating on your spouse, drinking, gambling or other issues that could have a "sin" value, you will get biblical references as answers, because many people don't look at the whole issue, but stop short at what they think is "the answer" in God.

Many people cannot seem to think for themselves, and research an issue, but just repeat what others have told them, and again the religious base of their lives is where they go for information.

I agree with you -- religion is a personal issue, and my relationship with God is my business, not anyone elses.

When you believe in God, everything that happens, what you do or say is related to God, so sometimes the only way to answer a question is with God and Biblical references

There is an innate need to believe in something higher. some people believe in God and believe He is the answer. As I do believe he is the answer to all questions, we may ask questions that are spiritually motivated and that is the response that is elicited.

The problem is sometime when God answers our questions...the answer is no. Or it is something we don't want to hear or face. Even in the answers to the questions that you are asking.

a lot of people turn to their perception shape in all factors of their lives. So their solutions on your questions right now flow to their perception shape. in case you ask questions with a achievable ethical conotation, as an occasion approximately abortion, gay marriage, premarital intercourse, cheating on your companion, ingesting, playing or different themes that could have a "sin" value, you will get biblical references as solutions, by way of fact a lot of people do no longer look on the finished subject, yet supply up short at what they think of is "the respond" in God. a lot of people can not seem to think of for themselves, and study an argument, yet in simple terms repeat what others have informed them, and returned the non secular base of their lives is the place they choose for documents. I accept as true with you -- faith is a private subject, and my courting with God is my corporation, no person elses.

Yes that can be annoying, can't it. But for the most part I see it as a way for those people to cope with the sense of helplessness that they have in everyday life. They seem to have the need to excuse the futility of live away, with an imaginary higher power. I see it as an inability to cope with reality.

Some people seriously believe that the Universe was created by magic and there is a directing intelligence in charge of it all. If they are in jobs that require them to think for themselves, they get over this.

Yahoo Answers is a battlefront for the culture wars.

People have strong feelings about this, and this an anonymous setting where they can argue about it without repercussions, and say what they really feel without worrying about hurting someone's feelings.

I agree with you completely.

I'm a believer but I don't like it when others try to force their religion on me.

If you ask me, those who do that are just the opposite of what they claim to be, they're very narrow minded.
