In terms of a living area. I think if a place is very car oriented and not many people walk or ride bikes except the poverty stricken
then people will not feel comfortable walking to the coffee shop up the street so they will drive even though it is only two blocks.
In terms of weather environment, I've always heard it said that the cold makes the heart kinder. After my seven years being back here in the south, I'd have to agree with that.

Personality is not by birth only. It gets influenced by the envirinment also.
