It just sounds like they want control. Narrow down who it could be, talk to them. Just because they don't have an active life does not mean u shouldn't. You aren't breaking laws, you keep it respectively quiet, you have even changed what u normally would like (# of party people, early hour parties which are let's face it the best ones!) so if they can't even talk to u, I would call the local cops, ask what the exact requirements are for noise & so on, stay within that, & I hate to say this, but screw 'em.

the same sour old b*tch would complain if you weren't having parties- you say they are complaining about your kids as well ill bet they are a man - hating lesbien on top as somone that mails from a different postcode you cant stop complaints but try and find out who it is and put dog poo through thier door - this isnt your problem its thiers your putting karaoke off at 11 and music off at12 so you arent in the wrong because you arnt bieng anti social and doing it at 4 am or they wouldn't be posting you letters they would just call the police (any police dept recieves a complaint that the nieghbours baby is crying that wasnt an abuse warning call but a noise complaint will hopefully prosecute the complainent for a waste of police time) they can't do this as they know it isn't a legitimate complaint that would be upheld by the law

hard one, your neighbours are entitled to complain though buddy. i would some people like to sleep even on a sat night you know. maybe they work or are getting up early the next morning. just because you work shifts and are young doesnt mena you have the right to keep eveyrone else up. like someone said before if you want to party all night go clubbing dont keep other people up they arent disturbing you so what right do you have?
im only 25 but i would get annoyed with that kind of behaviour myself. i would suggest you buy a piece of land and build a huose away from other people if you dont want to stop being loud. and as for hte person posting something away from the area, like myself maybe they work in another area? or posted it when they were visiting someone. why dont you do the grown up thing and confront them nicely and see if you can come to an agreement, glad your not my neighbour mate. good luck with it al.

Think of your kids first, the nosey neighbours second. If they like staying up late then fair do's!.
Neighbours can be awkward at times but generally not the elderly. They have a lot of time on there hands a can make great allies as the eyes and ears through the day. Respect them-one day when your kids move on-you will be in their shoes.

I think you have the done the right thing by tonong it down but I think maybe you should look up the law regarding noise etc aftera certain time. If you are not breaking any laws then let them complain, what can they actually do apart from moan??
But I would be more concerned about how your kids get to sleep during these partys not the neighbours???

I would cut the music down before 10 pm cause in most states after 10pm is considered disturbing the peace. You don't want the cops called on you because for some reason old people gripe about every little noise that is heard.

You're right, they're wrong. Invite your immediate neighbours to your next party. Then if they complain you can say they could've come. It worked for me when I moved into my house, I invited all my neoghbours to my house warming party and some came and stayed till the small hours. Now they'd look like hippocrites if they moaned as they once were contributing to the noise.

Everything can be solved with dialogue.

i hate to sound rude, but. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Matthew loves you girl. He did love you and he still does. This break up is prolly tearin him apart. I really think you need to apoligize and get him back. I really think...and this is judging by the convo, that hes a great guy for you. He really wanted to make things work with you.If you still have 3 months left, you should spend everylast minute of your free time with him and make this relationship work. Honey why on earth did you break both of your hearts??

I think you have made consessions and are being pretty darn reasonable. However you don't say what the complaints are about so maybe your neighbors see things differently than you. Why not ask them and see what they say
