Absoutely not! U gave her the engagement ring to express your love for her and wanted to spend the rest of your life together. It doesn't come with an attachment in return for this ring I must receive a gift also.
She is crazy to marry u if u really think this!

The work engagement tells me that she gave you all she should have, and that was a YES! What more do you expect. If she is an incurable romantic as I am, she may even give you something 'just because'. You shouldn't expect anything other than her answer when you propose. Have a happy marriage!

first, who doesn't love presents. What's this, you bought Australia for lil' old me. oh you shouldn't have. I want lots of presents.

You gave her a gift. Gift giving isn't about "I gave you one, so what's in it for me?" You should give a gift just because you wan to do it and it is sincere. If there is a gift to you in return, it's seeing the recipient truly happy and appreciative of what you've given them.
So I guess the answer is "No."

if you proposed to her simply to get something material in return, you didn't propose for the right reason. tradiationally there is no need for her to get you anything, and you should not expect anything. surely her saying "yes" to you, should be enough to make u happy!
