Most places are happy to accept Euros in the city of Prague. But if you do need to get cash, there are lots of ATM machines in the city and you can get crowns that way, using your bank card or credit card. It's cheaper than the Bureaux de Change in banks. I also found that most places are happy to accept Visa.
Prague is gorgeous and the people are so nice there. Have a lovely time.

You can use euros in several big shops (not at a great exchange rate though), but if you want to go to a restaurant or something you'll need crowns. The cheapest way I found to get foreign money is to use your bank/credit card to withdraw money from a bank over there once you arrive. The commission is usually lower than for changing money (as long as you take enough out) and the exchange rate is usually better too. Whatever you do, don't go to the money-changing shops near Mùstek metro, they are a rip-off and are watched by pickpockets the whole time.

If you don't want to carry cash over there you could just use ATMs as the are freely available in Prague.
If you want to take Euros there are lots and lots of places to change them (but, naturally, some will try to rip you off). Some hotels and the more touristy shops will accept Euros but when I was there I tended just to get cash from the ATM when I needed cash otherwise used my debit card which was accepted nearly everywhere.

Hiya :-) ! Well, I would definitely take crowns with me as probably not every little store has got euros. Don't forget that you might need to order them a week before you are travelling... Have a nice trip :-) !!!

you can use euros, but I think they have upped their prices when converting so it might save you more to use the czech crown.
