ok so (1,-1)m=2

y+1=2x+2
-1 -1
so y=2x +1 how is it y=2x-3 ?!?!

using the point slope formula:

y - y1 = m(x -x1)

thus

y - (-1) =2x -2 (minus 2 not plus 2)

solves to

y= 2x-3

Hope this helps, and don't worry, I still make "stupid math errors"

This comes from this equation:

Y= M*X+B

-1=2*1+B
-1=2+B
-3=B

So your standard slope equation is Y=2X-3

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y + 1 = 2(x - 1) You had + , not -
y + 1 = 2x - 2
y = 2x - 3
