I understand the pain that you are feeling. A pill will not stop your husband from drinking. He must want to stop on his own. Look up some information of alcholism on the net and you will come to undertand that this is a disease and one of the key components of this is complete denial of a problem. Find the phone number for AlAnon in your area and start going to meetings, this is the only way that you will be able to help the situation. Good luck and God bless you both

. Are the whites of his eyes becoming yellow? Or his skin? Does he smell of alcohol even when he hasn't had any? Does his stomach stick out? Are his eyelids swollen and puffy? Is his face a flushed red? I'm giving you signs here. There is no magic pill, if there was I would have taken it. If he won't do anything, to help himself, then please go to Al-Anon for yourself. There you will find friends in your situation, and alot of support. The only pill that I know of that the Dr. has to give him is Antabuse. If he drinks while taking this, he will become very sick. You can also call a substance abuse program in your area and find out about how they can help you do an intervention.

i thought a alcoholic has to want to quit on his on last i checked. we, want a lot for our love one but its really there choice to choose if they want to quit. if his eyes are yellow he may have jaundice.dont give up on him sometimes a alcoholic has to dry out before they can think clearly.treating alcoholism as an illiness is important.recovery requires lifelong changes.this is the type of treatment.self help groups such as alcoholics Anonymous are men for sobriety.medication that sometimes help Naltrexone -blocks the craving for alcohol and the pleasure of getting high.another one is antabuse help with phyical reaction such as vomiting when drinking alcohol.antabuse is rarly used.good luck with helping your husband.my advice take him to be seen by doctors and counslers dont mix medication with alcohol

he has to want it on his own...i have many friends in recovery from alcohol and/or drug abuse...from what they tell me, you have to hit the bottom before even considering giving it up...some of my friends are clean for years, while others, relapse time and time again...leave him or ask him to leave...should he try to get help,be strong and stand by him all the way...sorry there is no magic pill i know of for this!!

Is he religious at all? If he is tell him the true Church of God is in his body. To drink heavily is to disown God cause there is no respect for God
