no i am 11 and i am 5'1.5 and i am a girl and short in some of my classes

He should ask his father and both grandfathers how tall they were when they were 14. He should follow at least one of them. I have known young people to shoot up in height from the ages of 14 - 16.
Do a Google search asking this question you will find that your friend is not alone.

I had a friend was about that height up til he was about 16 and then sprouted to about 5'9 -5'10 so you never know. Some guys just hit their growth spirts later in life.

Normal.... sure why not. There are lots of people that height. In fact, my good friend is 5'3 and he is 27! Sweetest guy around! Height is overrated!

lol, I think so.. he's a guy he'll catch a major growth spurt around 15 I was 4'9 at 12 and im 5'1 at 22...lol
