i heard that spiders make one sticky line of web, then one non-sticky one and so on. if they walk on the sticky line of their own web they can get stuck so they have to know which bit's sticky. so yes they can walk on another spiders web as long as they work out which alternate lines are non-sticky

I suspect yes, but only of the other spider is of the same species. Each species of spider spins their web a little differently, but all members of a given species do it the same way. If a spider came across a web spun by another spider of the same type, the spider would probably know how to determine which lines are sticky and which aren't, because of the pattern. But if the web had been spun by a spider of a different species, it wouldn't know how to interpret the geometry, and would quite possibly get stuck.

yes they can as all spiders make webs so they know how and where to walk so they wont get stuck

Spiders make their webs from quite a few categories of silk. there is one type, which types the helping strains for the information superhighway, which isn't sticky. the hoop-formed strains of silk are thinner, sticky, and greater elastic. in case you watch a spider strolling on its information superhighway you will see that they only walk on the thicker, non-sticky strands of silk. there is not any oil of their feet (in actuality, some searching spiders can spin small quantities of silk from their feet to assist in hiking gentle surfaces), yet they do have good claws to assist grab the strands of silk.
