This tree is native to southern Brazil and Uruguay in South America. It has been transplanted in suitable climates around the world. It is possible that it is grown in the Republic of the Congo. A Yahoo search for "feijoa tree" (include the quotation marks in the yahoo search box) yields 10 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I am sure you will find a lot of additional information about this species of tree.

Good luck with your search for information.
