Have you ever had your grandmother, or even yourself, or whoever go down a list of names in the family before getting to yours? Or when you are in the middle of a conversation and you cannot remember a particular word? Is there a name that I can Google to do research on this topic?

A lot of people experience memory lapses. Some memory problems are serious, and others are not. People who have serious changes in their memory, personality, and behavior may suffer from a form of brain disease called dementia. Dementia seriously affects a person's ability to carry out daily activities. Alzheimer's disease is one of many types of dementia.

Check the link below for the National Aphasia Organization for lots of information about speech difficulty.

It could be a kind of aphasia, but you might cross reference under "senior moment" to find a better term

I prefer "brain fart"; my sister uses "senior's moment". I have also found out that I have "noun aphasia".
