The cheapest airlines are air deccan, go-air and spice jet airlines.
Their tickets fares are sometimes even cheaper than the correspoinding railway ticket fares.

To get a purposeful answer, will it not be in fitness of things if you kindly add
(i) From where you are coming?
(ii) In which town the wedding is?
(iii) How much you want to travel locally (within that city - state - india)?
There are different modes of conveyances available. You are right - whereas the same should be economical it should also be comfortable and fast.

First tell us were is the wedding then only we can tell the fars, route and ............ and now many flight have lowered their rates u can check in the concerned airlines website.

take a bus or a train. fastest is plain..try 4 some cheap aorlines sure 2 find one
