To get a purposeful answer, will it not be in fitness of things if you kindly add
(i) From where you are coming?
(ii) In which town the wedding is?
(iii) How much you want to travel locally (within that city - state - india)?
There are different modes of conveyances available. You are right - whereas the same should be economical it should also be comfortable and fast.
Best of luck.

Walk!!! Good for your body and cheap too. If your in the mood, you could run too.
Boss! I really love guys like you who ask such vague questions. There are no details, no specifics. Tell me. When you are to actually go to the ticket counter, would you also be so vague and dumb to the ticketing clerk also?
Get a life!
