Don't forget - if you have more kids you'll need more tattoos, or the other kids will think you love him the most. If you have three, #3 won't go on the wrist for space considerations. (That is, Ryan on the left wrist, kid #2 on the right, and - bingo! you are out of wrists.) You REALLY wouldn't want to have to put #3 on your butt. Maybe a little list, like a shopping list, from wrist to elbow in birth order?

If you have it all hearts and doves, it will embarrass the heck out of him when he is 16. Plain italic script would be nice - the calligraphy italic, not the slanty letters italic.

What to do is type it in a word doc and full around with the fonts until you find something you like or have a look on some tattoo websites at other name tattoos to give you an idea of size & style.

Me love tattoos, been thinking of getting one of my sons name on my back, but was thinking of getting it in arabic which is rather unusual.

Try the websites below for some ideas ;-)

I think that it might seem like a good idea right now, but you might not feel the same way 10, 20, 30 years from now. Maybe you could get it somewhere that isn't so visible. There might come a time when you don't want to have an exposed tattoo.

Yes, don't get one on your wrist. It is true even today that people do see tattoos on hands/wrists as a bad thing. I know that in the armed forces people who have tattoos on their hands/wrist are prevented from progressing further than the highest NCO rank.
It is a shame I know but people are often judged in the first few seconds of meeting, because of this I would never have a tattoo on my wrist/hand and I would also advise you not to either.

Don't listen to any of these fools saying "don't do it" or "don't do it on your wrist".
Tattoos are personal, and if you want one on your wrist, then by all means do it.
I think Calligraphy fonts are awesome and you should look into that.

Try following the link to see an example.

A friend of mine had the cutest design, it was Winnie the Pooh, holding a bunch of balloons, with the name of each of her children in each balloon. Obviously helps if you like pooh bear. Other than that, how about getting it in Latin or something? If you like the idea, dont get it in the obvious Chinese, but try a different language you like the look of. (Arabic?) Find a tatooist you trust, and talk to them. They do it every day, and could give you a good idea of what would look nice.

First find a tattooist who's work you like and then discuss it with them.
There are loads of designs on the www, but you are better of having an open mind. I changed my mind completely regarding the design of mine after meeting the tattooist in person.

Go to someone you trust, they will be able to help you. I've always liked the old english writing be sure it's what you want, having it on your wrist is there for all to see.

Is he old enough to print his own name? Tommy Lee had his sons write their names and then the tattoo artist traced over it.
