I'm a dispatcher and I think it is pretty interesting. We get the funny calls, the intense calls, and the people I work with are good people. It can be stressful, but also rewarding.

I work at a large hospital system doing special projects for the organization.
We talk about best practice, process, and information technology and how we can improve the organization and healthcare as a whole. Right now, I am managing a department on a new hospital opening until they can get someone to take the position. After that, I will be writing scenarios to teach new employees in the new facility how to use the new equipment, systems, and processes to the best of their ability.
I really like it.

I'm 45, worked for many years & am currently taking part-time college courses to work in the Human Services field. I want to work with the disabled or those with addictions.
You know, you could take some college courses part-time while still working, if it's financially possible for you. I have two disabilities & took out a student loan. :)
